The Role
I had a fantastic summer working at Mercer
I was made to feel like a valued member of the team from the start.
Everyone including the more senior members of the team was very supportive and always made the time to help me.
The workload was irregular at times but on the whole I had a good level of work and we were given a group project to work on during quieter periods.
I was surprised by the level of responsibility the interns were given.
I found the training that we received very useful and think that it will definitely assist me in my future career.
The Company
The working culture and morale in the office was fantastic!
The internship was very well organised and every intern was assigned a buddy to help and support them.
I had a meeting with my team leader at the beginning of my internship to set goals and then again at the end to discuss my progress and get some feedback.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and would love to have the opportunity to work at Mercer when I graduate.
The Culture
There were 13 interns across the different business areas in London and we organised a social event every Friday after work. There were also other social events with colleagues organised by Mercer and a rounders tournament.
The cost of living and socialising in London is very high but a lot of the events were paid for by the firm.
There are so many great pubs, bars and clubs in London that you're never short of somewhere to go after work!
The firm have netball, cricket and football teams and the interns also organised a rounders tournament.
