The Role
The work placement was a good challenge to face. It pushed me to limits that did no think I could reach. It has shown me how to be independent and has taught me skills that will be useful in my everyday life.
My work colleagues are like my family here at Caterpillar. They have given me support when needed and have given me a helping hand when they can see I struggle a little.
My supervisor showed me a lot of support and is always willing to teach me something new. He had given me new opportunities to face.
I can be very busy on some days and on some not so much. I have learned how to balance out my workload.
I was given a reasonable amount of responsibility to take under. I managed with the help of my colleagues to get through these challenges.
There are skills like team leading, time management that will help me succeed at university when it comes to group projects and work loads.
The Company
The atmosphere was one that made me want to come to work in the morning till today. There were times when you could feel the atmosphere was getting a little tensed but that allowed my self drive to come out and finish the task given.
The placement was well setup, with work given to me to keep me on my feet at al times.
I had the opportunity to be trained to use the faro arm.
Company Parties/Events
I hope to be able to apply again as this company is outstanding. I will definitely be applying here again as my first choice.
The Culture
With the other two placements there were weekly dinners but not with colleagues.
was a reasonable amount.
There is no night life as we are based in an industrial estate.
Yes there was the Bournemouth marathon that I took part with work
