The Role
It has been interesting to learn about various different job roles here. I have enjoyed learning the processes and strategies Caterpillar follow.
I have felt as if my contribution has valued the work here at Caterpillar. My colleagues do team exercises to show support towards employees and acknowledge work carried out.
I have been given guidance and support on 1 to 1 meetings with my manager, to help understand strategies.
I have been fairly busy and occupied here at work.
I have been responsible of being an It analyst, project manager, business rules analyst.
I have learnt how to manage a project from first hand, and this will help in my final year project as I am able to understand the key importance of managing timelines etc. I have also been able to collect requirements from the business which will also benefit my final year studies as I have learnt that I have to understand what I need before beginning a project.
The Company
It is a good environment to work in, where I have met many friendly employees. Everybody has ensured I seeked the help I needed by being a placement student.
Quite organised, sometimes I would have to push for work when other projects were taking up my managers time.
I have been involved in requirements training exercises, and learning the project structure workshops.
Flexi Time
Working from home
I am not sure at the moment.
The Culture
Yes, I have been involved in badminton social events, and also activities outside of work.
£375 per month on rent, and £20 per week on food.
Fairly OK.
Yes badminton, tennis etc.
