The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed working at IBM, it has taught me so much about the working world, how to deal with stress and what to expect after graduation.
I felt extremely valued by my colleges, I was given a lot of responsibility and was treated like a member of staff than just an intern.
I was given support by my manager and those in my team whenever I needed help or advice. I built a great network around me so had people both in and out of my team to speak to.
I had a very demanding job, so was kept busy throughout the year, this taught me a lot about my role and helped me to understand the business better.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility, my manager depended on me a lot. The tasks I was given had to be completed to help my manager with her tasks, it was all a ripple effect.
I believe I have developed life skills not just for University but beyond that. I am able to work under pressure, I have responsibility, better time management, I am confident and feel more motivated.
The Company
We had a great atmosphere in the office when the whole team was able to come to the office. People were friendly and you were able to meet new people almost everyday.
It was very organised, we had training, a facebook page was set up for the interns, and most of us had a handover,
They invested in us a fair amount, we were given training when it was needed.
Flexi Time
Working from home
Very appealing, I definitely want to come back.
The Culture
Yes, we went out with both the interns and our teams.
Very expensive!
Great but expensive!
Definitely, emails were sent out constantly about different opportunities.
