The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement. I was presented with many learning opportunities and the team I worked with integrated me nicely.
I felt very valued by my colleagues, they provided positive feedback at important events such as month end and I also reciprocated which lead to a happy work environment.
Personally I am a very independent person but my managers [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] were very helpful when I was just starting and filled in any blanks in my knowledge.
At the beginning of my placement, after I had fully learned my role there was not much for me to do and so I also sought extra work. However, in the last 6 months things ramped up on my account and so I have been kept very busy.
I was given lots of responsibility and feedback on how I managed it
I developed many technical skills as well as skills on how to interact with team members, how to get straight to the point without being bogged down in phenomenon of corporate minutia.
The Company
I think it was quite well organized. Personally for me it was more of a practice of independence within the company and finding my own feet
The company provided many opportunities for me to grow. Listening in on team calls, and briefings which I didn't have to attend but did since it provided insight into other areas of the company.
