The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed my placement at Hays FM - great culture and balance between work/play.
I think as an intern you don't feel any different to your peers thus you are definitely valued by the business.
A lot of support and guidance was given that has helped me develop to where I am now in terms of training and monthly reviews.
Because you are treated as any other consultant after your probationary review the workload is quite demanding but I enjoy the buzz and pressure the role brings and think it is a good test to what is to come later in life.
I was given a lot of responsibility to manage my own desk with regards to candidates and clients - I definitely felt as if I was trusted to work independently because my manager felt I knew what I was doing.
I think everything I've learnt this year will assist me next year and in futures jobs.
The Company
Very good most of the time. Occasionally it was a little flat and could be seen as divided but as the year went on I certainly tried to integrate myself as much as possible.
Very well organised in the beginning weeks and has been good the rest of the year.
A lot. My peers, Manager and Director have all invested time in developing/coaching me to be successful. The training is good but needs to be more practical for future interns as I learnt the most by doing it rather than talking about it in a training session.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Good - Hays definitely invest a lot of time and money into interns for a reason as it takes a lot of time and effort to mould someone into the Hays way therefore graduate opportunities are good. I f I were to come back (providing they want me) I would need to have a very transparent overview of what I would be returning into.
The Culture
Hays definitely tried to integrate us all together.
High
Good as long as you have money
Yes but not anything particularly interesting to me.
