The Role
Enjoyed my internship to a high extent. Hays have a social work environment, as you are working alongside most people your age.
To a high extent- expected to achieve the same results as my colleagues.
Throughout the placement I received constant training and support. Never felt like I couldn't ask a question,
Never had no work to do, however as an intern you are not expected to work extra hours as other colleagues are.
At the beginning I was given lots of responsibility in running my own desk (talking to clients and candidates), however towards to end of my placement I have been given less to do.
A placement at Hays strongly develops your communication skills as you are interviewing candidates and meeting clients on a daily basis. This has made me more confident talking to people in a business context.
The Company
There is a sales environment in the office, which can sometimes be high pressure. However, there is also a very social atmosphere and I am lucky that my team have now become my good friends.
The placement was well organized, with training sessions at the start and throughout constant reviews of my progress.
To a high extent.

If recruitment is the career you wish to pursue, future employment prospects are high within Hays. Unless you have not tried or made much progress throughout your internship, it would be unlikely Hays wouldn't have a place for you after University.
The Culture
Yes
I worked in Hays St. Pauls office which meant cost of living and socializing was high. I will have left the placement year with little savings despite having lived at home.
Good.
Some.
