The Role
- enjoyable year, social side especially - work was challenging but rewarding - my team were excellent, even though I moved around
- after a couple of months felt like a consultant and not an intern - Was considered by everyone an important part of the team
- Hays have a leading training programme which really helped - manager was always helping me out and answering questions - a lot of one to one training
- I was either extremely busy or very quiet - you definitely get in what you put out
- after the first few months was given more and more responsibility - ended up managing the whole process with clients and candidates
- a lot of life skills - not so many skills that I can use for my degree
The Company
- lively - loud - encouraging
- the whole process was smooth - everything was already sorted or booked in
- provided excellent amount and quality of training - great opportunities if I were to return after university - treat you as a valued member of the organisation
Company Parties/Events
- I would definitely consider coming back to Hays - great financial prospects
The Culture
- interns regularly got together - there would always be someone you could go for a drink with - number of incentives and organised company events
- very expensive but it is what's expected in London - Lunch would usually cost £5+ unless you were careful
- excellent nightlife - would be busy no matter what night you went out - so many options of where to go and what type of place
- there were boxing clubs and other fitness / sports opportunities
