The Role
I have enjoyed the fast paced environment in the office and how busy my role keeps me. I have been given insight in every aspect of recruitment during my placement year.
During the year I was treated as any other recruitment consultant in my team, with the same tasks and duties. I am very happy in the team that I have been placed with, everyone has been welcoming and I feel comfortable in asking questions.
I have been supported throughout the whole of my placement, with on desk training as well as the Intern programme. I am supported by my team and always able to ask any questions about my role
I was busy every day with various tasks, spending most of my time on the phone. It is important to prioritise my tasks accordingly ensuring I have everything done by the end of the day.
I was given the same responsibilities as an Associate Consultant would be, meaning I was involved in every aspect of a recruitment consultant role.
I will be able to apply many aspects from my placement year to my final University year, I have developed my business knowledge as well as personable skills. I have been able to experience the real world of work throughout this year, which is something I will be able to discuss further in my job search when I finish University.
The Company
In the office there is always a buzz, busy atmosphere all the time. There is always a positive vibe in the office and around my team.
The placement has been organised well, the training was specifically designed for Interns which was applicable to mu duties in the role. Everything had been set up before me starting.
I was enrolled into an intensive 12 week intern training programme which trained me on all aspects of the job. The training was useful in helping me understand more about the role and apply the knowledge from the training to my daily work routine.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
There are different routes to take as a permanent consultant with Hays, it is definitely something I would consider.
The Culture
Everyone is really outgoing in my team, someone would always organise a night out. If targets were hit at the office there would also be incentives.
The office is in London so going out is pretty expensive. Cost of living for me was cheap as I was staying at home.
Always something to do in London
The office always had activities organised, so plenty to do.
