The Role
It was a great working environment that allowed me the freedom and responsibility to seek out exciting work opportunities at a innovative company.
Initially I had to gain each member of my team's respect however once this was established I felt like a valuable member of the team and someone who could be relied on.
I was comfortable approaching my manager with any query and he would take me through the solution and was an invaluable learning source.
The opportunities presented to me meant that I had an exciting work schedule on top of the minimum requirements of the role.
I was given real responsibility with real consequences which helped me feel valued.
I have been exposed to the qualities required to pursue my desired career of being a salesman and gained a great exposure to the area of the business I want to return to as a graduate.
The Company
Due to IBM's commitment to their Placement scheme I was surrounded by a number of people my age which was great fun! The permanent employees I interacted with were very welcoming and more than happy to have a chat and enjoy themselves.
I was provided all the necessary information prior to beginning my year and then had more than sufficient support throughout.
It was available if you pursued it but the opportunities available to the permanent employees were not very easily accessible to interns.

The Culture
Yeah it was fantastic!
Living in London provides difficulties for having an active social life but there are ways around it.
London baby! Great city offering a range of nights depending on what your interests are.
The corporate games is an event I am very much looking forward to being a part of.
