The Role
My role has been the greatest gift! I was able to understand what it is really like to work in a large corporation.... and I like it! The opportunities were endless, the ability to shape your own future
Never felt like an intern! My team not only valued but respected and trusted me to do any task at any time. Definitely a big part of why I enjoyed my placement year was the people!!
My managers guided me whenever they felt I needed support, but equally allowed be to develop by going through a trial and error process myself. Always felt at ease to ask any question or just to ask for help!
Very Busy, but that is what I preferred. There was the ability to adjust the workload at any time, however I knew what I was capable of and so did the team!
Definitely think that as soon as I got the hang of it, I was able to take on as much responsibility I felt I could handle. Working along side very experienced members of the company and understanding the corporation was a great feeling!
The skills gained are really for life, it has prepared me for a grad role (hopefully with IBM!) but will come in handy in any part of my life!
The Company
As one of the busier locations in central London, it definitely had a great balance of work and fun atmosphere. Great as there always is an event around and lots of interns to interact with too!
With an entire team set up to take care of the interns, it felt organised and well managed. No complaints at all
There were lots of online training and courses as well as face to face session to join to develop skills and experiences. Great investment
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
there is a chance, but very competitive. Need to work hard all year to get a good chance.
The Culture
with lots of fellow interns to meet during corporate games, lunch and socials. Always something to do with the colleague too!
London is very expensive, important to budget and plan ahead. But there is always something fun to do in the city!
Lots to do, varies depending on what you like, but always something interesting around!
Yes, opportunities are there if you look for them. Be proactive!
