The Role
I enjoyed my placement at IBM, It was well organised and a valuable experience
I have been given responsibility from the off and my work is used regularly.
A great system for placement students in IBM always had guidance
My work load fluctuated with the financial year, at times I was extremely busy and other I was looking for tasks to do
I was given a lot of responsibility from an early stage
I think that the skills I have learnt will help with my studies no end. I am more motived to achieve the results.
The Company
The general atmosphere was professional but relaxed. It was always fun the be in the office and you meet so many people.
The placement was very organised. When you start at IBM you get a development manager as well as your task manager. I found this system very useful as your development manager can help with issues you may have or goals you're trying to achieve.

There was a good social scene on the placement scheme. there were Christmas and leaving parties organised and regular nights out with friends.
