The Role
Overall very enjoyable; a great team and interesting work.
There were always grateful when I completed work for them and good to give feedback.
As the placement was during the summer, each member of the team had a substantial holiday at some point. It was not always clear therefore who I was to report to, but whenever I needed guidance and support I could ask any member of the team.
The team were very busy during this period - it seemed I was a great help to them and I always had a good flow of varied work.
Although everything is checked at least twice before it is sent to a client, I still felt a held a reasonable amount of responsibility to complete things accurately and on time.
The placement was very related to my degree - I found it very useful to see the theories put into reality.
The Company
Everyone in the office was very friendly, and there always seemed to be cakes/treats from someone!
Being such a large organisation HR did seem slightly inefficient, but the general organisation of the internship was fine.
We spent the first 3 days training in London, there were plenty of online training modules to do in my spare time and there was also an 'away day' (general training for the whole team) half way through the internship.
Flexi Time
Healthcare/Dental
I'm fortunate enough to have been offered a place on the grad scheme next year.
The Culture
We would have drinks/lunch quite regularly, also met some interns from other offices for socials.
I lived at home and commuted to work but the town itself is pretty cheap!
We had drinks after work in pubs a few times but nothing too impressive.
There was one sports event but I wasn't made aware of it until quite close to the time but already had plans. There is also an office football team.
