The Role
It was a good experience of the work environment, even if there were a few people that I didn't get along with. I think that if I'd worked with a different bunch of people then I would have enjoyed myself a lot more.
Most of my colleagues were supportive of me, however a few people liked to capitalise on my mistakes and make me feel like I was stupid. Unfortunately for me, I let these people ruin my placement.
Management were great. They were really helpful.
Every day was different. Some days I would be rushed off my feet, while others I would have literally nothing to do. That was one plus point of the placement - the variety.
I was really hands-on and doing work that could have been potentially fatal for the company if I'd messed up. This was also a burden though, because I got so nervous that I would make a mistake.
I couldn't have had a placement that was more suited to my degree course. Also I know that when I do eventually get a job, the skills I developed on this placement will be really valuable.
The Company
A lot of the time the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, however there were a few times when people liked to get on my back about certain things that I said or did. At times, I felt like I was being bullied which really ruined the experience for me.
The management really knew how to accommodate students. The placement was set up perfectly.
I received a lot of training at the start of the placement which proved instrumental.

O2 are a good company to work for but I would never consider going back there as I would have to interact with people who I'm not too keen on every day.
The Culture
At lunch times there was plenty of colleagues to talk to and have a laugh with. Even in the office people liked to socialise.
London is not the cheapest place in the world. Although if you budget well it is possible to have a good social life in the capital. I made sure that I met up with friends at least once every week.
The nightlife was OK. Nothing compared to Central London but you could have a decent night out.
There were lots of different social activities that everyone in the office would be invited to. I went to a few and enjoyed myself. I also had a BBQ at my house during my last week to say good bye to the people that I liked in the office.
