The Role
As a whole, I really enjoyed the internship experience, to gain an insight into working life in an international organisation, develop my own skills and meet some great people.
I could see how my work helped others in my team and how this helped drive the productivity of my department as a whole. All colleagues welcomed me and seemed keen on my input whereever they felt I could help.
Given great support by the management team in my area.
Kept busy - as I finished work, there was always something else being prepared for me.
I was given freedom with some pieces of work to make them my own, but obviously it is hard to get any real responsibility in such a short space of time.
I am certainly much more aware of the areas I need to develop before I start work at a graduate level
The Company
Exposure to presentations with senior leaders within the bank and weekly conference calls with recent graduates
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
Events for all interns were great fun, as some interns were based in a location with just 1 or 2 others
Northampton is extremely cheap compared to London!
Organised events for all interns, football and meals/drinks with the management team from my department
