The Role
Really enjoyed my time with Hays. Always open to new opportunities, and always help on offered if needed
Cant fault any of my team. No matter what office i worked in, everyone made me feel welcome, and treated me the same - not as a intern.
As and when needed. Never had any issues - help was always on offered if needed by all members of my team, regardless if they were management.
Very! Everyday was a new challenge, but this made the job as interested as it could be, as no 2 days are the same.
I managed my own team of workers along with my colleague. I had a lot of responsibility making sure i was always on top of my work, as well as making sure all my admin duties were up to date.
Brilliant - Everything from my communication to the way i present myself, has been dramatically improved within my year out.
The Company
Really good! Everyone has their own roles to look after and it was always a busy, fun, yet productive atmosphere.Everyone had their own areas of work, and everyone contributed to any group conversations, but everyone worked well and got on really well. Always a good/hard-working atmosphere to work in.
Very good. When i first started, the role i had didn't work out, but this was due to the market, not my company. When i finally got given a suitable role, the work was endless, but that's what ive enjoyed - everyday is different, and i prefer a new challenge, as a posed to the same line of work each day.
They spent a lot of time and effort training me up to a suitable standard. I had a few nights in London where i was on various training courses, and also had a week in Manchester, where i had training from current directors. I also had one to one training with my office manager and my team manager.

There are always positions available within Hays, regardless of location. They always look for good consultants, as they are growing everyday, and will always try to make positions if they come across good consultants. They will always try to get anyone the right line of work, as to what suits them, and will always have time for anyone who is interested in joining.
The Culture
I had access to email with all my other interns, and although we didn't have a social between us, when offices get together, we would use that as a social excuse. I've been on Christmas parties with my fellow placement students, but not a dedicated social just for interns. This could be done, but we all based all over the North West.
Very good. As i live in the area i work, the cost was no different to when i was a student at uni. The only added cost were going out on busier nights - but that's part of growing up! Pubs are about the same price anywhere, but when going out to fancy bars, that's where you feel the affect of being an adult.
The night life its self is repetitive, but its the crowd you go with that make a good night out! Most fridays, we as a team go for a few drinks, but it gives you a chance to catch up with people, outside of work, talking about things which aren't work related.
Yes - we have socials outside of work, and if anyone tries something new with family/friends, we do suggest it in the office, and from there, it can lead to us trying new activities, and even team building experiences. We have been on nights out together, but also various sporting activities, and even been to watch Manchester City play!
