  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The responsibility you get at Volkswagen Group UK is great, the people and work is fun and interesting!

  • The company has a great "feel good" atmosphere, although times can be rough everyone is there to help and improve the experience.

  • Managers are always welcome to help, support and advise you on whatever topics you feel like discussing.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Always reasonable busy. Some days there is just enough to get you through the day and not be bored, sometimes it can be extremely busy but it is always appreciated by colleagues and managers, sometimes rewarded for the dedication and hard work.

  • Given the opportunity to own and run projects and important areas of large projects. Have the opportunity to make a difference to the business.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Provided many scenarios to develop upon skills learnt in university but also delivered the platform to develop key stakeholder management and communication skill which university can not teach!

  • Always enjoyable!

  • Could have been more work pre-placement, but once in placement the set up is great. You are not treated like an undergraduate but a member of the team.

  • Provided many training courses, can choose as course to go on as you like.

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • After completing a year at the business you are treated the same as any other graduate if you wish to go on the graduate scheme. More should be done to keep hold of the undergraduate students.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Large group so you have the opportunity to be as socially active as you wish!

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cost of living is not bad at all, with the cheap loan car available lots of disposal income is available.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Milton Keynes is good for a good social drinking, nightclubs are nothing special, but being close to London means that is always a possibility.

  • Various sports team to get into.
