The Role
My placement was thoroughly enjoyable. My job was great, my team was great and the Brand I worked in was very welcoming and supportive
I was valued by my colleagues. I was able to make constructive inputs that were valued by my team. My team was happy to leave me to make decisions that would impact the network and customers
I was given a lot of guidance by my manager and I was able to grow as a working professional
My role has peaks and troughs, so I would have very busy periods, but I would equally have less busy periods
I was given a surprisingly large amount of responsibility. I was responsible for incentives that had payments worth a total of £3.5 million. I was also able to influence decision making thorough the insight that I produced for my team and for my brand
It will help me a lot with my future career as I have gained experience that not only relates to the industry but will also help with any job I have in the future
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was generally bubbly. There are busy times where the office would be more subdued, but these are offset with Dress Down Friday days, when there is a lot lighter atmosphere
The set up was good, but as I had a new role, there was a lack of background information for me initially. However, once I had got into my job, I found it good to get involved in different projects and activities
I was able to do whatever training I wanted to do, meaning that I was in control of what I wanted to learn

The Culture
There is a relatively large intake of new undergrads each year (35/40) so there is a good level of social activities to get involved in over the year
The cost of living was good. There are plenty of activities that you can do in MK and there are plenty of bars and restaurants for socialising
It was decent. Its not London, but its good for a large town
I was part of the Brand football team and there were a lot of other activities available like the theatre available at subsidised rates
