The Role
I enjoyed it very much and learnt a vast amount, an experience like no other,
I felt highly valued, my role and my contributions were deemed very important.
I had regular one-to-ones with my manager and my team were very keen to get me involved with projects.
I had regular monthly and quarterly tasks as well as projects I was involved in. Not so much regular daily tasks,
I was given a lot of responsibility, more than I expected.
I gained a lot of transferrable skills to aid my studies such as communication, Microsoft skills, attention to detail and working with other people
The Company
The office was the right environment to get a good amount of work done, as well as sociable, everyone is very approachable and friendly.
A very strong induction, training and insight into the business at the start of the placement, less structured as time went on however there are constant forums and drop in sessions for student feedback to give the company the opportunity to improve on it.
There is a vast array of training courses throughout the year which I took advantage of
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Company Car
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Very appealing benefits and structure, definitely one to consider doing in the future.
The Culture
The placement student and colleagues were like a family, we have done many activities together.
I lived in a shared accommodation and the prices in the area were as expected, so I had enough disposable income.
London is easily accessible on the train if you are looking for something fancy, the nightlife in the area was quite expensive and average.
There were plenty of sporting, entertainment and nightlife activities colleagues were involved in on a regular basis for one to join.
