The Role
I really enjoyed the broad range of opportunities I was given during my time there
Relatively valued
I was quite supported by my mentors whom direct me to people whom might be able to help
I usually ahd about 3-5 projects going at once (by my own choice!) so I had quite a healthy load of work to do per day
I was given quite a large amount of responsibility, having presented to external clients within 3 months of my placement and being trusted to singly-handedly web apps for the external facing events/clients
I was given a lot of opportunity to network and build my skills through internal events and hackathons
The Company
I was situated in a different office than the rest so I did not have a proper office team, but everyone was very friendly!
Distribution of education and information could be better done, but otherwise it was a good structure.
I was given free rein to attend any and all personal training/development courses as long as it did not interfere too much with my day to day job
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
There is an internal graduate recruitment scheme that is great!
The Culture
Placement students tend to go out quite often together and there was often opportunities to socialise
I lived in Winchester and it was a quiet and slightly expensive town. I feel like my year would have been better if I lived in Southampton or Eastleigh, where most interns live.
It existed
There were pub quizzes and bowling organized by internal social teams
