The Role
The placement was an amazing experience! With plenty of responsibility and challenges the wider Microsoft community was there to support you every step of the way. Would thoroughly recommend!
Working in a small team enabled me to have a real job, with real consequences, with real rewards!
Through weekly, monthly and quarterly feedback sessions, one to one meetings with my manager I was able to ask any questions and cover concern.
Business varied depending on the project I was working on. There would be times where I would be enormously stressed, and other times where free time would be available. Support would always be in place where needed
As mentioned above, I worked in a team of three people which covered four markets across the globe. The simple answer is, an awful lot...
My placement year at Microsoft has provided me with a sturdy foundation of skills to take forward to my next job, wherever that may be!
The Company
There is a misconception that everyone who works for Microsoft needs to be techy, this is not the case at all! People of all ages, skills and interests work alongside one another with laughter, excitement and there is never a dull moment!
The placement was exceptionally well organised with constant compulsory feedback sessions.
My manager always pushed me to engage and involve myself with more and more activities internal and external to my team.

Unfortunately Microsoft cannot guarantee the grad scheme opportunity but working as an intern for a year will certainly help your chances!
The Culture
All the interns are of the same age and mindset. We were all very up for including everyone and going for plenty of nights out and drinks after work!
Its London so unfortunately costs are slightly higher but definitely well worth it
London has a plethora of opportunities for whatever your interests. There will definitely be something for everyone
Microsoft had many different opportunities across the business. Definitely something for everyone!
