The Role
The team and office I worked at had a great vibe. Lots of interesting people to learn from. The highlight is definitely learning from people with great history's in the tech world and vast amounts of experience.
I was a true member of the team, not treated like an intern but a proper employee with responsibilities.
I was left mainly to my own devices to sort problems out and grow. Support was available for some personal problems if needed but I never asked for help in this area.
Some days were slow, some days were super fast and exciting. It was a good balance but sometimes work could get dry.
I was working on core technologies which go into production. All of my work was on the critical path, no intern projects. Everything I worked on has had impact within the business.
This year I have gone from a standard programmer to someone who is very experienced in a number of frameworks and languages.
The Company
Fantastic. Usually filled with life and fun. Working with great people who are both extremely talented and down to earth, always up for a good time.
The set up was fine and easy. Contact got lost at one point for myself but was not the fault of the company. I was actually offered help for issues with my application, it felt personal and made me feel wanted.
I learnt most things on my own. I did have opportunities to learn from others and some courses but was not specifically invested in to learn things by my office.
Company Parties/Events
Graduate and FTE roles are available.
The Culture
Living in Soho gave many opportunities for socializing. Lunch in a new place everyday and weekly nights out.
Very expensive. London zone 1 and working in Soho.
Soho. Enough said.
Did dancing on the side. People had groups of clubs to do sports and other things.
