The Role
The experience has whole was extremely valuable, I learnt a lot and biggest takeaway will be work ethic and the ability to be professional
At Microsoft you are given a lot of responsibility and the chance to own your job. The job you're given is as an actual role that impacts business not just a 'pencil pushing' internship.
My manager has been extremely helpful, she asked what I wanted from the year and then delivered. As an example I mentioned I wanted to work in sports marketing so she set me up with the EMEA Marketing Director of the NBA. The networks you can build here are amazing
Very, as mentioned before your role is a real job that impacts business so every day there were new tasks and work to undertake
A lot, as mentioned before the job role is important and impactful
Massively. The organisation skills I have learnt will enable me to be effective in my studies and be far more efficient/ productive. The problem solving skills and how you approach issues has also been invaluable.
The Company
Amazing, every day was a laugh. It's right to have fun but at the right times you need to deliver impactful work in a professional manner. The balance is incredible at Microsoft.
My internship was unique as I as due to work for another part of the business that was sold, so although my internship was slightly un structured in taught me how to deal with ambiguity and make the job my own, again great experience.
They invested lots, they sent me to Dublin twice for eternal training and there are regular in house trainings most months open to everyone.

Extremely appealing, the graduate scheme at Microsoft is excellent and the ability to progress past that is something we are all striving for.
The Culture
My placement was in the Victoria and then Paddington office so the social in London is incredible. We became a really close group of friends and socialised together every day.
Cost of living in London is high, I lived at home in Reading though. The social is also very expensive as it' London.
It's London.
