The Role
I loved every minute of my time in Microsoft. It is the best job I have ever had, in the best company there is, with the most incredible people I have met in my life as colleagues.
In Microsoft there is not such a thing as I am an intern and you are the boss; everyone is included, everyone can contribute and their opinions and contributions are equally valued. I felt that more of a job place I belonged to a family.
My manager at Microsoft was my friend, adviser, supporter, sponsor and always treated me with respect. the great thing about Microsoft is that people really CARE about you. I had the best boss I have ever had in my life and I am a mature student with 12 years of previous experience.
I was busy all the time and constantly challenged. I love being busy because I feel that I am contributing value, Microsoft is an amazing place but if you don't like to be challenged it is not the place for you. You will be busy, constantly learning and also changing.
I wasn't treated like an intern, I was treated as an equal contributor and therefore I had lots of responsibility which was great because it made me feel that I could actually add value. At Microsoft you are not just an intern doing admin, you get given a proper role with representative responsibilities that enable you to impact the business and add value.
Mi year at Microsoft was the year in which I felt I have learnt the most in my life. My learnings will not only help me in my last year at uni but will help me in my life and future career.
The Company
Microsoft has the best corporate culture you can have in a company. Everyone is positive, happy, proud, and willing to collaborate.
I was given clear responsibilities and expectations so it was well structured.
Microsoft fully invests in People, the opportunities for training and development are overwhelming. Microsoft provides you with all the development opportunities( as many training and projects as you can never imagine) and you chose what you would like to be part of. you are responsable for your own success as Microsoft provides the platform for it.
Flexi Time

Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
I will definitely apply back to Microsoft and would love to comeback.
The Culture
yes definitely. we had a great community and were part of lots of different societies(101 teams) that helps us integrate.
I lived in london therefore it was expensive but it was my choice so it would have been cheaper if I lived in Reading
