The Role
I was a very positive experience as it was inspiring, I learned a lot and had a great time with the RBS employees and peer interns.
More than I expected as I felt a member of the team when working on projects, everybody was open to share information and their experiences and I got more responsibility than I expected.
Both a buddy and a linemanager were assigned to me, which both were of great help in terms of giving advice and meeting more people working at the bank
Although it depends on the team within the bank, both my rotations were quite busy. This does not mean that that is negative because every day was exciting, it enabled me to learn a lot and it pushed me to perform
Definitely more than expected which is good, because it pushed me to perform and it enabled me to learn quickly
The quantitative skills, the interpersonal skills and the leadership skills are skills that one can typically develop in this type of business. I think that is absolutely valuable for the future.
The Company
I think that the work itself is very exciting and also overall the people working here have interesting personalities
Better than expected. As a result I have met many people working at the bank, learned a lot, got exposure to different teams etc, hence very well organised.
Both training as on the job learning was very well organised
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
I absolutely enjoyed the social activities with both the employees of RBS and the peer interns
The nightlife in London is quite good
Absolutely, although I have worked a lot, I was able to use a similar pace in my social life and activities outside of work, hence it was a good balance
