The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Intel, I was able to work on various projects as well as engage in lots of social activities put on by the company.
My colleagues trusted me to take the lead on my projects and would come to me if they felt I could help them out. I felt like a was another full time employee rather than just an intern.
My managers/supervisors were always looking to provide me with support and guidance both around my project work and how I could develop myself individually.
Some peaks and troughs but generally i had a very good balance of work.
I was given a lot of responsibility during my time on my placement, initially I had a mentor to work alongside on my projects but toward the back-end I was able to take the lead on a project.
I was able to partake in lots of internal training courses and certifications as well as general coaching from colleagues. It would have been good to also have the opportunity to attend and gain external certifications as well as internal.
The Company
There was a good blend of work and play. I worked in 3 teams during my placement and all were very friendly and inclusive.
My manager managed the organisation of my placement, setting up initial and ongoing training's, opportunities to follow my interests and development areas as well as a range of opportunities across different projects.
Internally there was a lot of investment but i did not have any external training and development opportunities.

There is no formal graduate scheme but do hire back interns into the company.
The Culture
There was a really strong intern community with lots of sports and social events.
I commuted to work but my colleagues say it is pretty reasonable!
Not great.
There are lots of opportunities if you seek them out, Intel will support you.
