  • I really enjoyed my placement

  • I was given significant support and guidance by the necessary staff

  • It can vary considerably, but there's always enough to keep me busy

  • I was supported plenty to begin with and given responsibility and considered self-sufficient as soon as they had confidence in me.

  • They developed considerably. I am more confident academically and on a personal level.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Very relaxed, and plenty of cakes. But there was always a focus on good science

  • GSK have plenty of experience with students and usually well organised.

  • They invested a fair amount into ensuring I was competent in all the necessary science. Not just at the beginning but throughout the placement.

  • The student vibe is very much present in the GSK cohort
