The Role
For the most part the placement was fairly enjoyable. I was lucky enough to work in a department with a good group of colleagues, who I got on with well and could rely on if I ever needed help with any assignments. The role itself however somewhat lacked diversity and throughout the year I found myself doing the same administrative jobs. That being said, there were times were I felt like I was being given a lot of responsibility (which I appreciated) and was trusted to complete tasks independently, without having to worry about being 'micro-managed'
It varied. Sometimes I felt as if colleagues were always conscious of the fact we would only be there on a temporary basis and therefore gave monotonous jobs which they themselves maybe did not have time to do. Some colleagues really took me on board with their day-to-day role, allowing me to accompany them to supplier meetings and were able to involve me in the depths of the job (not just the administration). Overall though, my colleagues were very friendly, welcoming and made me feel like 'one of them' soon after starting the job.
Support and guidance was always there if needed and I was never worried about asking for help.
My workload varied. Sometimes I was reluctant to receive more work due to my workload, but more often I found myself having to ask for work/find work myself.
I was given a fair amount of responsibility. I felt as if I was trusted to carry out work on my own, which made me confident in what I was doing. However, there were times were I felt I could have been more utilised.
It gave me a great sense of 'working life' and an experience of a multi-national company. I was able to grasp GM specific processes and learn how to communicate with internal colleagues and external customers in a professional manner.
The Company
Overall the atmosphere was good and productive.
Very well. You can tell the company has had experience of taking on undergraduates in the past.
If help was ever required I would be given enough

Very limited graduate opportunities!
The Culture
Yes. The social environment is great, due to the amount of undergraduate and activities throughout the year.
Great links to central London. Cheap accommodation and living costs.
Awful.
There were often charity events and competitions advertise through internal communications.
