The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed this placement, i felt like a valued member of the team and at the cutting edge of what National Grid is doing rather than some of my friends that were stuck in departments doing repetitive admin work.
The jobs i was given were required and if i didnt do them then somebody else within the team would have had to do them but i wasnt running the show and wouldnt want to to be honest!
relevant to my degree, business/commercial skills, technical expertise, working with intelligent members of my team who dont mind me talking to them about what they do within the team all helped further my understanding of how a business operates.
The Company
I had already arranged all of this during my placement the year before and as a result was able to do research during my year at university which helped me hit the ground running when i started.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I have an assessment centre with them this month for a graduate program after university.
