The Role
I have mostly enjoyed my placement here at SAP, it has taught me a great deal of skills that i can transfer in to my final year at university and into my future job roles. One of the most important things that I have gained over the year is networking skills. I have been lucky enough to travel to various events over the year - this has been really fun to get out of the office and meet with both international colleagues and partners.
Recently, i have felt extremely valued by my colleagues. They regularly ask me to assist them with various tasks and I also lead my own projects with various teams.
I was given lots of support from my managers - I had weekly 1:1s with each of my managers and i could often to go them for advice for both my professional and personal life. I also sit next to one of my managers so we are able to catch up everyday of various topics. this was extremely useful during quarter ends.
At some points of my placement i have been extremely busy, other points have been very quiet and i often found myself asking for additional work - this was very frustrating. Recently however, i have found myself to be very busy all of the time and i have thoroughly enjoyed this.
i have been given lots of resonsiblity on my placement at SAP, especially at quarter ends. i have started, ran and completed many projects here at SAP which has been really fun and my colleagues have all appreicated the work i have done.
throughout the year at SAP we have been able to go on a number of intern development days in Central London with an extneral company - I have gained lots of skills from this that i can easily transfer to my life after SAP. The main 3 skills that i have picked up whilst at placement is organisational, networking and time management skills.

The Culture
SAP has a great social scene there a number of events that SAP has put on over the year which have been completely free to us all - -Club SAP Drinks in Richmond -Christmas Party at Mercades Benz World - Go Ape! - Partner Events -Pride Events -Kids Christmas party
Cost of living in Greater London around the Feltham, Staines, Twickenham, Richmond, Chiswick area can be quite costly - you will probably find yourself paying upwards of £500 PCM for your rent and around £30PCM for bills. despite this, i have still been able to have a good time as well as save money.
