The Role
Absolutely loved every minute of it!
Never did I feel subordinate to the full time employees in my team. My work was expected to be as good as their own and was always very valued.
I was given a lot of support in the first few months of the placement. Getting time with your manager is not always easy, owing to their own hectic schedules, but never did I feel like I couldn't ask. I enjoyed needing less guidance in the second half of the year.
Every day was a new challenge and the hours in the day absolutely flew! I often found myself with more work than time but as I really enjoyed my work this was not a bad thing.
I was able to seek as much responsibility as I could handle. As well as my day-to-day tasks I was also encouraged to take ownership of multiple side projects which also developed my skills and experience.
Exponentially! Organisation, time-keeping, motivation and work ethic to name a few. I believe the skills I have learned are applicable to life as well as my future studies.
The Company
The atmosphere in my particular area of the office was very good. There was lots of chat between our team and jokes were never far around the corner. The open plan design of the office allowed us to chat to anyone at any time.
Our handover training was very well run especially. We had regular development sessions and also integrated well with the regular employees.
We attended several independent development sessions in central London. Time investment was high and we were able to become extremely competent young professionals.

There are a lot of roles available in the Sales and Pre-Sales Academy which is a really great experience. There is a commitment to hiring young talent which seems to be improving year on year.
The Culture
As there were over 40 interns we ended up socialising on Thursday nights and weekends quite regularly. The social scene isn't great for the Feltham office but the central London office was very good and we would often meet outside of work as most people lived in London.
The local Spoons was very cheap, although I think I only visited the once. Outside of this, London prices are not cheap...
Again, Central London is fantastic but expensive. Feltham is cheap but very quiet.
Yes, we were encouraged to attend multiple charity fundraising events, sports clubs, off-site events relevant to our roles and many more.
