About You
I did enjoy the experienced, as colleagues and the HR team were extremely welcoming and a pleasure to work with and be around. In terms of the work, I thouroughly enjoyed certain meetings I got to sit in and learned a lot from them, however I also spent time carrying out tasks which did not give me a real insight into life as a lawyer.
In general everyone was very welcoming and encouraging, and made an effort to make me feel part of the team. As I was only at the firm for two weeks, I do not think that it would be fair to say that the work I carried out was a huge help to my colleauges, but they all were very encouraging in terms of what I did contribute.
An awful lot. The HR team were one of the best I've come accross, very open, and encouraged us continuously to come to them with any problems. Also, those who gave me work gave me concise instructions, answered any questions if I had any. In particular, the more senior people in the firm took the time to explain things, which was quite exceptional.
It gave me an insight into the departments I was in, and about work in the city. I have done previous internships so felt I already am at a stage that this will assist in my studies.
The Company
Structure was a huge strength. It can't critique as I would leave the structure as it is.
Positive, friendly
As it was so short, I do not think that this question applies. However it is clear that the firm invests a lot in trainees.
This was probably the best thing about the placement for me.
I hadn't known much about the culture before, which is quite distinct, and afterwards I feel I fully understand what the firm stands for.
I was already clear on my career goals.
Everything Else
The pay is not extremely high - £260/week
There were not that many vacation scheme socials. I think this should be focused on more.
There were not many.
This was explained fully.
Undoubtedly. This seems like a great firm with excellent work.
