The Role
I have really enjoyed my placement, I have been given some fantastic opportunities which have helped contribute to my personal and professional development. There have been times in between which have been more quiet which have been less enjoyable. However, overall I am really glad I have done this placement year.
I have felt very valued by my colleagues this year. They included me with their projects as soon as I began and provided me with the support I needed, in order for me to contribute.
I have been given very good support and guidance this year. Working in a virtual team was a very different format to what I have worked in before but I soon got used to it and knew I could reach out via email/TC for help when needed.
My workload varied through out the year. In quieter times, I reached out to other members of the team to see how I could support them and hence increase my workload
The level of responsibility I have been given has increased throughout the year. I have worked on many small different projects each with varying levels of responsibility.
I feel the skills I have developed will assist me in both my final year of study and in applying for future jobs. I feel much more confident in the office environment and in my ability to bring forward ideas and see them through.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office has been very quiet this year but I have been given the opportunity to go to many off site meetings which has broken up time in the office. There is also a good community of other interns.
There was little plan for the internship. There hadn't been an intern in this role before. I assisted the team in projects they were working on as they came up through out the year.
My knowledge of the industry, role and therapeutic are has really developed this year. I feel much more confident than I did at the start of the year in my workplace abilities.

Working from home
The graduate scheme has just opened. However, the job description has been too vague to make a proper judgement of it yet.
The Culture
There are a lot of interns at Pfizer. Most of the interns live near the office meaning there is often a good social scene. I have lived at home this year and commuted to work but I have not felt left out of the intern group.
I live an hour away and at home so I have managed to save money this year.
