The Role
I had a great experience on my placement with great exposure to senior clients. I was treated like a permanent member of staff and full involved with all business projects.
My colleagues valued my expertise throughout the placement, wanting to learn from me while I also learn from their knowledge and experience. I did not feel as valued by the international team and sometimes it was difficult to have valued involvement within meetings.
My manager provided consistent support, I had Bi-weekly 1-1 meetings along with weekly team meetings. My managers door was always open.
It varied dramatically throughout the year. Sometimes I worked at %110 and others at %10. This was just the nature of the team I worked in.
I was given large responsibility throughout my placement. Certain projects involved working with global senior clients in which I led meetings and tasks.
My placement has developed skills that I will continue to use throughout my degree and work life. I have been given real world experience of what it is like to work in a blue chip company. I was provided with a range of training both mandatory and optional.
The Company
The atmosphere was fairly relaxed, a quiet office environment.
The setup was well organised but I had little idea as to what my role consisted of when first arriving.
The company invested in my development consistently throughout my placement. I was able to request extra training if need be.

Working from home
The future employment prospects straight from university seem scarce. The job role requirements for entry level roles within my team mean that I would need three years plus management experience. I would like to return to the company but hoped this would be possible straight from university.
The Culture
Social scene was limited. I commuted to the office from a considerable distance.
