  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed my time at Faurecia

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued by my colleagues, I never once felt like I was just a student, I felt respected by all colleagues

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I gained some support from managers but not as much as I would've liked, however because there is so much autonomy in the role, you just get on with the job

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy. Always something to be getting on with, never once a time where there's nothing to do.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given lots of responsibility, some of my activities were directly linked to payroll and because the work is not checked by another colleague, it gives you more awareness and attention to detail. Overall, lots of responsibility which directly effects other aspects of the job.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learnt so many skills: technical, organisational, prioritising, attention to detail and so much business awareness in terms of being able to apply the HR practises and procedures to uni work during the final year

  • General atmosphere was pleasant and friendly, however it was fast paced and constantly changing.

  • Pretty well organised. I had an induction plan and handover.

  • Felt like I was invested in to some extent in regards to being put on the time and attendance system.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, there was a nice group of students who were in the same position as you and so there was a nice group to interact with.
