The Role
It was an excellent opportunity worked with a great team enjoyed everyday going to work and all the challenges
Very busy
The Company
Excellent working atmosphere everyone was very friendly and helpful different departments help students no matter which department you work in. project and all different tasks are given to you when you start. there’s loads of responsibilities and tasks you need to complete to set deadlines. So far best office job I have worked in
started off well, was given the health and safety briefing slowly fed into different tasks and the training was given when required and when they thought the student was capable of completing the tasks that were to come with it. met the customer and worked along with them when quality inspections had to be done overall great experience
The company made sure that the student was capable of carrying out tasks required accordingly and when ever there was the opportunity to obtain external training I was given the opportunity to do so, I have been to a few training sessions myself with the other quality engineers which I think was very valuable
The plant I worked in is growing and there are loads of opportunities for new students to explore and bring in new ideas experience this and grow personally. There are loads to learn form the company and the people everyone is willing to hello and this will be a great year in industry to understand the working environment.
The Culture
Yes, we always went out for football games, night outs and various other parties, the student from both plants in fradley get together for gym or going out it was a great opportunity to also discuss how the other plant functions and learn about the different roles faurecia has to offer.
cost of living was not as high as i was sharing a flat with another placement student, if you don't have a car travelling was a bit difficult and taxis cost a lot. however night outs dont cost a lot at all in lichfield drinks and foods cheap. wouldnt however say lichfield the best night out if possible take the train to birmingham !
horrible, nightlife was not good. the clubs are pretty bad, theres only two clubs and one was never good so every one stuck to the same place every night, got bored of the same place and probably went out like a few times all year. however there are loads of pubs in lichfield which is nice.
Depends what you are into, if you’re into sports there’s a gym, there go karting and that’s about it, not a lot to do in Lichfield. However you always tend to go to different places with he work people who are always friendly which and you do most things away from Lichfield.
