The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed working at Savills, the work tasks that I was given were very challenging and there were plenty of site visits for me to get involved with.
Extremely, it's very clear that Savills value all there employees
I was given just the right amount of support. I was shown around where I worked and I was introduced to everyone within the team. Any work that I was given was challenging and I was always encouraged to have a go at something before I asked for any help.
Very busy. There was always something that somebody needed help with, that ranged from site visits, research or report writing.
I think I was given as much responsibility that a Summer Scheme student could be given. I was trusted with helping out with work, but equally I wasn't too overwhelmed with what was expected of me.
A month of learning and working at Savills has taught me so much more than its equivalent time at University would have done.
The Company
When it came to work everyone took it very seriously and always provided there best service, equally the office atmosphere was very friendly and welcoming.
Extremely well organised. The placement exceeded my expectations, there were a number of departmental overview talks throughout the placement and there was organised points to speak to my mentor and others about my progress.
I felt as though I have experienced life as a graduate surveyor. I was involved with real work projects and I could always ask questions as I was going along. The whole process really impressed me and I would love to work here. Having a personal mentor really helped to keep me on track.
Company Parties/Events
I would love to work with Savills, my placement was very well organised and I felt very valued.
The Culture
There were a number of networking/social events with other summer scheme students, these were great opportunities to meets others within the same area of interest as me.
Living and socialising in the area wasn't the cheapest but it wasn't ridiculously expensive either.
There was always something happening throughout the week. There was plenty of options to go out.
There wasn't a lot of activities outside of work during the time of my placement, but there are football teams and other teams that play fairly regularly.
