The Role
I was able to go on many different off-site visits, meeting suppliers and seeing Engineering products in action.
I was always given tasks that felt important to the team.
Whenever I needed support, It was provided.
Some days I was very busy, other days relatively quiet
I was given a good level of responsibility, working directly on the project.
I learned unique Systems Engineering skills that I would never have learned at University. This will benefit me throughout my career.
The Company
The Office atmosphere was good, everybody seemed friendly. However sometimes this was dependent on how busy everybody was.
The initial organisation was poor, it took time to get IT set up. Having said that, once everything was set up, it ran smoothly.
I was invested in heavily, I was able to visit suppliers, and go on training courses that I required. Both of these really enhanced my personal development.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Above 25 days holiday
The Graduate Scheme looks appealing, I will certainly consider returning,
The Culture
Other placement students were always willing to venture out and it was great when we did.
I was living at home so costs are unknown.
The nightlife in Bristol is good, and provides something for all tastes.
I was trained as a STEM Ambassador and was given the opportunity of doing STEM activities outside of work
