The Role
An extremely enjoyable day-to-day environment to work in, and also provides great benefits such as cinema screenings.
My team entrusted with high responsibility tasks and were always appreciative of my contributions, and did not 'treat me like an intern'.
My supervisors and manager were extremely supportive of my development, encouraging me to attend many internal learning sessions and were always willing to teach me.
I experienced a consistently steady flow of work, and on occasions, very busy periods. During these busy periods, my team were very understanding and helped me to prioritise tasks.
I was suprised by the amount of responsibility I was given. It enabled me to challenge myself and get the most out of the internship.
I believe that my year at Disney will influence the success of my future career far more than my degree will. It has been invaluable to my development.
The Company
A relaxed, enjoyable and friendly environment to work in.
No complaints. The whole process was smooth with no hiccups.
The company put on multiple learning sessions throughout the year, where expert speakers come in to teach a certain topic. There are endlesss opportunities to get involved in throughout the year should you chose to.
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Although there is no graduate scheme, if you proved yourself and built strong working relationships, should a job arise in the future, you will stand a good chance when applying.
The Culture
No intern social events organised by the company, but a great social scene formed amongst the interns - plenty of nights out etc. Even better if you live with other Disney interns.
Expensive, but it is all relative to the location. London is one of the best cities in the world so of course it is expensive.
Hammersmith has plenty of bars, but central London is much better for nightlife - it's not too far on the tube.
Team drinks were set up every now and then, and sometimes outings to Disney events. I believe there were sports teams too.
