The Role
I really enjoyed my internship. I thought the 4 weeks was very valuable and a great insight into what is it actually like to work as a graduate at Savills.
I think that my colleagues did value my contribution over the month I have been here as I have made a good working relationship with all the members of my team and competed meaningful work to help them in their roles.
I received a very good level of guidance and advice throughout the month and from all the members of the team who were very keen to help.
I was given a reasonable amount of work by many different members of my team. This was a sufficient amount of work to mean I had to improve my time management skills but not to much work meaning I met all of my deadlines.
I was given responsibilities on certain pieces of work for members of my team however was guided throughout which I thought was beneficial
This month has improved my confidence, speed, time management and ability with my written work as well as improved my social abilities that I will carry forward into my graduate life.
The Company
There was a good working atmosphere that was fun and inclusive but also remained professional
The internship overall was very well organised with introduction morning, personal mid placement review, and a end of placement appraisal by the head of the team. This was as well as departmental overviews throughout the month.
the advice, guidance and feed back I received over the month helped my personal training and development.
This summer internship has helped to put me in the best position possible when applying for the graduate scheme at Savills in September.
The Culture
All of the Summer scheme students got on well and there was a good social scene amongst us.
The cost of living in the area was quite high as Savills is situated in central London and there were many opportunities for the socialising in the area.
The nightlife was very good in central London
The team and summer scheme set up enabled my to get involved socially and with other activities outside of work
