    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Really enjoyable, the staff were really friendly and I really got an insight into what it would be like to work at KPMG.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt very valued. We had many talks from senior people at the firm and we work had the opportunity to work shadow for the day. The person I was work shadowing took the time to explain everything to me.

    • A lot of support and guidance. Questions were always welcomed. Everything was explained to us clearly.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I learned presentation skills and how to build your personal brand, both of which will be useful in whatever career path I go down.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Everyday was planned and had a clear structure. We work shadowed for a day which was really useful and a great way to see what day to day life is like at KPMG.

    • All the staff were welcoming and really friendly.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • They gave us each the opportunity to work shadow which really gave us hands on experience of a typical day at KPMG. We also had several networking events with senior people of the firm.

    • The day of work shadowing provided a great insight into this and was really useful.

    • Throughout the week it was really clear that KPMG is a really friendly and welcoming firm.

    • All the different areas of Tech were explained to us right at the start which was really useful.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

    • They paid us for the week as well as reimbursing travel expenses. They also gave us an allowance for lunch.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • There was a dinner with senior people of the firm and plenty of other opportunities to network. They also really encourage questions all the time.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?

    • Really good. We got to network with graduates all the way to partners and above. This provided us with the full scope of what it is like to work at KPMG.

    • Yes there are sports clubs and the people are very sociable.

    • Yes, it is great in deciding whether a career in Tech at KPMG is right for you.
