About You
The process was great fun - partner dinners, karaoke nights, practice area briefings, and interesting work.
I have always maintained that one of the special things about Nabarro is its people. I felt valued and part of the team within a very short time frame.
Support was 100%. From the helpful secretaries to the handy IT team to trainees, and associates, not excluding partners, all were ready to help and guide you as long as you are polite.
I strongly believe that new skills I have learnt in this short time like presentation skills, team work and many more, will help me going forward. Because as I observed myself, these are skills used everyday by successful lawyers.
The Company
Very structured - briefings in the morning, networking events in the evening, pub quiz and drinks after work. Credit to Nabarro's graduate recruitment team. It was a good mix of interesting work and fun events.
What more can I say? it was wow! Cosy offices, nice rooms, people walking pass you with a smile, and the nice canteen that served nice food.
I would say the firm invested reasonable amount of money. Because, our IT trainings were outsourced to Thomson Reuters. We also had interesting networking seminar which was very useful.
Networking skills are life time skills. That is how businesses are gained and maintained. The IT trainings were very good in terms of helping you conduct comprehensive legal research, which in my view, is also a life time skill for a lawyer. So the insights were very helpful.
It revealed to me that Nabarro practises law with passion and humanity. It strongly believes in a people culture which I think is a 21st century model.
I enjoyed the work I was given. I sat in real estate through out. The exposure, I am sure, will help me make an informed decision on what kind of lawyer I want to be when the right time comes
Everything Else
I was paid. I would have done the vacation scheme without payment because, it is a wonderful opportunity. But the fact they paid us shows care which I think is great.
Absolutely. There were several events to meet associates, trainees and even partners.
Interesting and informative. It was good opportunity to learn from partners and people already working in the firm.
Yes! - Nabarro day, Contact Nabarro. These involves pro bon work, supporting a charity and many more.
Absolutely! - is a great opportunity to develop and learn from smart people.
