The Role
Everyone was really friendly. Whilst you are only in one department for the fortnight, you attend daily talks from other departments to get a broad experience and people in other teams are more than happy to talk to you about their work.
I didn't undertake work for everyone in the department as it was mainly from the 'Trainee Buddy' but everyone I did meet always had time to chat.
Considering how busy everyone is, the amount of support you get from the Trainee Buddy and their Supervisor is really good.
I had enough to do without always hassalling the trainee, or getting bored.
There isn't much scope to demonstrate responsibility, just due to the type of work given.
It confirmed I wanted to pursue commercial law and will look good on future applications.
The Company
Everyone was lovely, but worked hard too.
Graduate recruitment keep you informed every step of the way and the induction at both the London and regional office was really well organised. The talks every morning were varied and well timed (some ran over but this was to our benefit more than anything!).
As everyone took time out when they could have been doing client work, in order to talk to you or conduct interviews, this was impressive.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Came across as a good firm to work for.
The Culture
Really enjoyed the organised events, as well as getting to know the other placement students.
Commuted from home so no issue.
Great but didn't go out really.
The organised events and office drinks were really good and a great opportunity to meet the employees.
