The Role
My placement was very enjoyable. The people I had to work with were extremely pleasant and the job itself was challenging and interesting.
I felt as valued as any other full time employee. I had the same benefits and responsibilities as any other graduate employees.
I received extensive training before starting client work. Deloitte makes sure their employees are equipped with right knowledge and experience before putting them on projects.
I was always had something to do. I was constantly learning something new and gained confidence in my professional abilities.
I was given a significant amount of responsibility throughout a year. I was responsible for a crucial part of our final deliverable and this made me feel very valued and trusted.
My knowledge and skills were dramatically improved by the end of the year. This includes both technical and soft skills that proved to be very useful during my final year at university as well as further career.
The Company
The general atmosphere is very pleasant, people are friendly and approachable. I knew I always had someone to talk to if I needed some support or advice.
It was very well structured. There are specific plans and schedules in place that prepare a placement student for future career.
I got extensive training throughout the year, which again made me feel valued since the company was willing to invest in me.

I have returned to work for Deloitte after graduation. I am looking forward to continuing my career here.
The Culture
The social scene was and is very good. There was no lack of various events and networking opportunities.
I lived in central London so the cost of living was relatively high, the salary, however, was enough to cover it.
The nightlife in London is very good. Deloitte organises many events in different locations as well.
Yes, there are quite a few clubs and societies within the company that give opportunities to get involved with different activities.
