    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • It was a really good insight into the firm and I was able to see a range of tasks a trainee might work on, as well as a good overview of the firm and its departments.

    • Everyone was really friendly and welcoming and included me in the various events they were involved with.

    • I felt supported and that there were many people I could go to for support/advice if I had any issues.

    • The information and insight I received was extremely helpful in confirming my choice of aspiring career.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Extremely well structured. The programme gave us a fantastic insight into the firm and its work, and the IT and research training at the start of the programme was invaluable in ensuring that we were able to make the most of the placement.

    • There were numerous social events and the whole atmosphere in the firm fostered a sense of camaraderie amongst the insight students.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • As mentioned, the IT and knowledge training was especially useful, but I felt in general that they genuinely cared about our development.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I thought the scheme provided a good insight into the life of a trainee, although they were obviously significantly more social and training events in a concentrated period than there would be in an average week.

    • I was able to gain a genuine sense of the friendly culture at the firm.

    • I was paid at a very competitive market rate for this experience.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?

    • Many opportunities. I was able to network with many other employees of the firm as well as clients and contacts of the firm.

    • Really fun and an excellent opportunity to get to know people better in a more informal setting.

    • Yes, and got involved with a number of them too!
