The Role
I felt that the placement was an enjoyable one. Not only in a professional but a social sense.
I feel like everyone I worked with was friendly and approachable. I feel that I was useful and contributed to a number of different projects, which was made clear by my supervisors.
I was supported by everyone in the team, as well as by the emerging talent team who organised our time on the internship.
I had a balanced amount of work that I had to complete, as well as time out of the office on site visits.
I was entrusted with preparing documents that were sent to clients and to application with minimal drafting or review. I prepared the framework and with some oversight and review from my managers these were sent/submitted.
I have learnt more in this month than I have in the last two years of my degree. This specific industry has given me invaluable knowledge of how things work in industry, and it drives to me to learn more. Not only industry specific, but it has given me the opportunity to look back and think how I could have done better, and can do better in the future.
The Company
Very open and friendly. The office hot desks, and I never sat next to the same person twice. Everyone is approachable, and is open to questions about their work.
The placement was extremely organised and well run by the emerging talent team, and the events hosted by the company specifically for the interns provided the insight into other areas within the company which showed us a different perspective from our own department.
As part of our internship, we had to complete a group presentation which was a great skill building exercise. I personally struggle with presentations and the company invested their time in helping me improve in this area. All of the managers in the team spent one on one time with me in order to teach me about what they do, in a professional, yet casual way. I never felt like I was in a lecture, but I still gained a lot of knowledge.

I feel that I am a good fit within the team, and am hoping to join the company next year as part of the graduate programme, following completion of my studies.
The Culture
The company and industry is a very social one, and I have made some life long friends from this internship, and the company was really big on social events not only between the interns, but within our individual teams.
The office is located in Central London, which is easily accessible and offers a plethora of bars, restaurants, and social spaces. This naturally comes with a price, but as a Londoner already, I'm well used to the cost of living in this city. The company recognise this, and remunerated this in our salaries.
Again, being in Central London is like no other!
Plenty! There were a number of extra-curricular activities planned and organised that were optional to attend, of which I attended several which gave me a broader more rounded experience of professional life.
