The Role
I thoroughly enjoy the work placement so far, I'm a month in and have learnt so many different things that you don't get taught through education.
With my colleagues I am treated as an adult, and they always ask for my input to base decisions in order to gain a fresh new perspective about a certain decision.
I have regular 1:1's with my managers along with inductions with other parts of the business that I'm interested in.
I have always got tasked to be getting on with, along with new and different projects that I've been assigned.
During my placement, I've been in charge of various different tasks and given the opportunity to lead on them without the help of others, however when needed I can always ask.
I have gathered different skills that I believe will push me further in both education and the future work life.
The Company
Everyone is incredibly friendly and open, you can always ask people if you need help and you soon begin to realise who can help you with what. There's also a lot of banter in the office which is always nice to keep yourself entertained whilst you're at work.
Very well, I was given objectives clearly set out and my 1:1's kept these up to date and my manager ensured that I was on track to achieving these.
The company provided all essential training that was needed along with helping you to achieve well in the future with the skills you can take back
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare/Dental
Very appealing, the role was very motivating and encouraging to try harder along with there not being any type of hierarchy within the office and work place, so no one felt left out. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the location and area of Milton Keynes.
The Culture
Yes, we all had a group chat where socials were organised
In total you'd be looking at spending around £600-£700 a month including rent, bills, car loan scheme and going out. It was quite an expensive area to live in.
Not that great, there's a few nice spots but you have to search for them.
