The Role
I enjoyed it, but I didn't enjoy the last week when I knew that the desk had made a hiring decision early in the week but I had to wait until the end of the week to be told
Not really sure, very hard to tell.
Some people were much better than others at support and guidance, which was to be expected but it was unfortunate if you were the intern who didn't have a great person who was allocated to guide you
Not particularly busy when I didn't have the project to be getting on with, but there was always something to read or someone to have a short chat with if you went and found it
Couldn't be given that much responsibility as it would breach regulation. But was given as much as they could give me . The project that we were set was very interesting, taught me a lot, allowed me to talk to lots of people and filled up the time when there were no day to day tasks for me to get on with. So even though this wasn't a large responsibility it was good/great that they had given me something to do because I wasn't allowed responsibility
Not relevant to the degree I am doing. But very useful for the future job I hope to enter into and also personal skills for communication etc it was very useful
The Company
Veru friendly and good hours.
It was reasonably well organised, the only problem was that there weren't many social events organised for us to get to know the rest of the interns, whereas on the banking side there was at least one a week so we felt that we were missing out
Had 1 week training right at the start, other then that there wasn't any training or development
Not really sure that the anser fits the question....a job would be appealing, but I don't know if I have a job with them yet
The Culture
Not great, weren't really any social events organised for us so we had to organise it ourselves, which never really happened other than once or twice. Was rather upsetting that they cancelled our leaving event sfor markets
Really very expensive.
Great as it was London, but didn't get to socialise all that much in many different places as nothign was organised, there budget restrictions
Only in the first week and last week
