About You
The insight was very good. I learnt a lot about EY and the different service lines they offer. the people there was very friendly and answered my questions in great detail. I managed to learn a lot about accountancy and this has really confirmed that I want to become an accountant after Uni.
The company provided me with a lot of support and the people there was very friendly and this gave me a very strong feel that I want to work for them when I graduate from uni. There was also a lot of support after the insight which helped me a lot and I hope that I can get onto their internship program.
There was a lot of support and although there was lots of students, the team managed to provide very good guidance to everyone in a very professional manner. The company also had lots of partners and senior staff who came and talked to us about their experience and journey. This was very useful to us.
There was some activities that helps us develop our communication and team work skills which are all transferable skills which will help us when we get back to university next year. I really enjoyed those activities and it helped us identify our skills and areas we need to work on.
The Company
The insight had a pretty good structure. They tell you about the agenda beforehand so you know when to expect what and the order of the presentations follow up very well giving you a good experience. There was also many opportunities to talk to the team during breaks and question and answer opportunities.
The atmosphere was very professional, yet friendly. Everyone was very nice and helpful but you also get a very strong community and professional feel. This made the insight a lot better. I was a little bit nervous at first but after a while, I knew that there is no need to be nervous because everyone is just trying to help you.
Not much as it was an insight. However, they provided lots of information about opportunities available and tell us about everything we need for the next step. There was lots of useful tips and information for applying to their internship program which I found very useful and plan on applying to it next year.
There were lots of people who shared their experience and told us about the work they did. Not only was I able to learn about the service line I want to go to but I also managed to learn about other service lines such as Assurance and Tax. It was very helpful and it gave me the knowledge to explore other service lines as well.
The presentation put a lot of emphasis on the culture of the company and we were well informed about it. EY puts a lot of emphasis on its people and feedback and I really like this idea. The insight has confirmed that I want to work for them after I graduate from University.
The content was very useful because there is a lot of information there that I can't find online and the tips they provided were aimed specifically for their company so it was extremely helpful. The disadvantage was that they didn't provide much hands on experience but other than that it was great.
Everything Else
There were many opportunities to network with other students and people from the firm. EY puts a lot of emphasis on networking and this is very useful for me to start developing my network and improve my networking skills which will help me a lot in the future since I am starting early.
There were many networking and social events which I tried to attend but only managed to go to a few of them due being busy with other things. However, I really enjoy the fact that they put together so many networking opportunities for us to make sure that we can make the most out of it.
I didn't manage to find out unfortunately.
Yes, I would definitely recommend this to a friend. They give you so much useful information and it is such as great stepping stone for an internship and it helps you prepare early for your career. This is one of the best opportunities I have had for a while and I am so happy to have participated in this.
