The Role
I enjoyed it a lot, UBS really put efforts into making us feel happy and motivated.
Very much, they spent a lot of time with me.
My supervisors devoted a lot of time to me, explaining things to me and letting me shadow them.
Busy enough ! I was working on two desks simultaneously so I was getting work from both.
I was able to place bond orders and inquiries into the system which made me feel very useful. My team also let me email my findings comparing two databases to different UBS teams.
I feel like my learning curve has been very steep, I have learnt much more than I expected to in 3 weeks.
The Company
Very good atmosphere, very nice and funny people
Very organised. Several events were organised by HR and everything was done for us to meet as many people as possible during the internship.
The mini rotations allowed us to understand what everyone was doing on the trading floor which is invaluable ! All sales and traders were happy to help us and answer our questions, and UBS has spent a lot of time on training us although its only a 9 week internship.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing !
The Culture
Yes, UBS organised events for us to meet and everyone is very nice !
Very expensive. Especially the costs of socialising (broadgate circle)
Very good
Not really. I would love UBS to organise or subsidise dancing classes
